Just two days ago Atlassian released Confluence 5.3 on their this years Summit with some interesting new features. One of them is Space Blueprints. Our developers were already keen on experimenting with the potential of Space Blueprints, while our own IT was eagerly awaiting some assistance for their IT Documentation in Confluence. So what is more obvious then developing a IT System and Application Catalogue and share it with the community. 
How does it help you for your own IT Documentation
If you are an IT Manager or Administrator the IT System and Application Catalogue helps you to easily document your IT with
- Clearly arranged IT-infrastructure with overview pages
- Simple entry with Page Blueprints
- Well structured administration of applications and servers with a space blueprint
- Dynamic links betweend servers and applications
How to use the IT System and Application Catalogue
This Space Blueprint allows you to enter and manage your servers and application in a fast and well structured way with forms and reports.

Using the new Create Space Dialoge just select IT System and Application Catalogue and start entering your IT Infrastructure. |

After creating the space, find predefined overview pages for your server and application infrastructure |

Easily create new Servers and Application with the predefined Page Blueprints. |
 |
Page Templates help you to enter your Server or Application Properties. |
 |
Beside descriptions, usage and responsibility, define a Status, Classification and the Availability of your Server or Application. |
 |
Enter a Server as property of an Application and the Application will automatically be listed on the Servers Details Page. |
How can you try it and when will it be available
Since Confluence 5.3 and Space Blueprints were just released we developed a v0.9 Beta for the Atlassian Summit that is taking place right now in Los Angeles. Check out how Space Blueprints work and take a look at our IT System and Application Catalogue at our Summit booth. Our on-site staff Dirk, Christina or Sandro will be enjoying to talk to you and collect your opinion and ideas for new features and other Blueprints. After the Summit we’ll be releasing the final version of our Space Blueprint at the Atlassian Marketplace.
